The first two years of the Indiana Golf Journal has been a true joy. I love being able to share my passion for the great game of golf with you every month.

Whether sharing the latest updates on equipment from Ed Travis, interesting rules interpretations from the LPGA rules official, Mitch Moon, health/fitness advice from our friends at Franciscan Health, the latest from Indiana Golf, wine tips from Kurt Wieneke, or advice from our team of travel writers, we try to enlighten, educate, entertain and inform Indiana golfers on a wide variety of topics.

As we look back on 2023 and forward into 2024, I want to publicly thank Sultan’s Run general manager Chris Tretter and his team for hosting this year’s Senior LPGA Championship, as well as Dave Harner at the French Lick Resort for staging the Epson Tour’s French Lick Charity Classic and the South Bend Country Club for conducting the Epson Tour’s Four Winds Invitational the following week. Indiana is one of six states that hosted at least two Epson Tour events in 2023.  Well done, Indiana!

As we transition into 2024, the Korn Ferry Tour Championship will be held at The Pete Dye Course at French Lick Resort, October 3-6. If you have never played or attended a golf tournament at The Pete Dye Course in French Lick, plan to attend this event. Along with the great golf, check out the 40-mile panoramic views of the rolling southern Indiana countryside, the devious ‘volcano’ bunkers, along the 2nd fairway, and the treacherous elevation changes throughout the golf course.

It is a Pete Dye masterpiece.

I hope 2024 is a GREAT Golf Year For All of US!!
