Will Magic Happen at the U.S. Open By Len Ziehm Golf’s third major championship of 2024, the U.S. Open, tees off this month at America’s Home of Golf, Pinehurst. Donald Ross’ lifetime pet project, No. 2 will host the U.S. Open for the fourth time. The USGA entered into a long-term agreement with Pinehurst to host several national championships over the next 20 years. Donald Ross was one of the most prodigious golf course designers of his day and his courses have stood the test of time. Famed No. 2 is recognized as one of the best courses in the country, as well as the world. June 13-16, 156 of the world’s best golfers will compete for the trophy.
