Reunion Resort sits on the southern edge of Orlando, just across I-4 from the Disney attractions. It includes over 2,000 acres of first-class accommodations, water park, tennis, spa and of course, three signature golf courses by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson.

The accommodations at Reunion Resort are outstanding, plus they come in all sizes. During our visit we were beyond impressed with our two-bedroom suite in the Grande Hotel that included a kitchen and dining area.

Visitors to Reunion can choose from one to three-bedroom suite-style villas, or multi-bedroom vacation rental homes. Some homes even feature a private pool, or game room. Whatever your needs, Reunion has the perfect option.

Reunion is for Golfaholics!

Reunion is the only resort in the country that can boast three signature golf courses by three Hall-of-Famers.

The Arnold Palmer course opened for play in 2004 and is the most accommodating course for the average golfer. The course is set among gently rolling topography, featuring uneven lies with ample bunkering.

It can be stretched to 6,900 yards from the back tees playing to a 142 slope, or the forward tees provide a much easier 4,800 yard track. The Palmer Course’s wide inviting fairways make it a joy for the bomber, but the bunkering and slippery greens protect par.

Tom Watson designed a course that was not littered with the lakes and water hazards, found in most Florida Golf Courses. He did, however, place 174 bunkers over the gently rolling landscape that beautifully frame each hole, as well as, every green complex.

This was Watson’s first design effort in Florida and he succeeded in creating an enjoyable round, plus a challenging course for serious Golfaholics.

The Nicklaus Course stays true to Jack’s design formula. A fade works best off the tee, plus carrying the ball in the air is a requirement to score well. There are several water hazards that must be negotiated, but the main difficulties are the deep bunkers that surround the greens.

It is the most difficult course in the resort with a 148-slope rating. Hackers take heart, the forward tees offer a much more comfortable 122 slope.

One of the key items, not to be missed, is the new 12,000 square-foot clubhouse at the Nicklaus Course, which opened in December, 2018. It offers panoramic views of the course from the upscale Traditions Restaurant and sports bar. The fully-stocked pro shop, fitness area, and locker rooms are available for members and guests.
