After going through Club Champions’ fitting process in 2017, I added a full club distance, plus better control with every iron in my bag. My personal fitter quickly realized my steep swing was creating too much spin. His solution was to decrease the loft by two degrees, which resulted in a lower launch angle and less spin.

I just saw lower scores on my card.

Club Champion’s advanced fitting process added a measure of precision and treatment worthy of a tour professional. Needless to say, my scores were lower and my enjoyment of the game increased exponentially.

I was so happy with the results of the iron fitting, that at the beginning of 2018, I decided to go back for a driver fitting.

Once again it was immediately evident to Nick, my personal club fitter, that my steep swing was creating too much spin with my current driver. After testing a variety of shafts and heads, from their inventory of over 35,000 various combinations, he recommended a Titleist D3, with 8.5 degrees of loft and a 65 gram VA Slay Shaft.

Nick was still not satisfied and felt he could even gain improved performance by changing to the C1 setting, which decreased the loft even more to 7.75 degrees.

I was skeptical about decreasing loft even farther, especially with most manufacturers praising the advantages of increased loft. The phenomenal results I had received from the prior iron fitting allowed me to BELIEVE and TRUST Nick analysis and the final results bore out the FAITH.

The result, my driver distance increased from a baseline of 251 yards to 268 yards, with a lower launch and ball flight.

At the age of 50, I gained 17 yards of distance, by simply using the correct club.

These phenomenal results prompted me to ask a couple questions.

What makes Club Champion so much better than other club fitters and why isn’t everyone doing this?

No one can match the intensive training each fitter receives at Club Champion University. It’s unmatched in the industry with four weeks of intensive training on club building, custom fitting and customer interaction.

Club Champion takes a proactive approach to each golf game. They want the frustration level to be avoided, so that every player can play with equipment that fits their game.

With golf fans seeing the pros using technology to improve their games, it is influencing them to seek guidance.

Nick told us,

“People are starting to believe it now. You used to hear a lot of this is too expensive, or I’m not good enough. I heard that for 20 years and I would laugh. Why limit how good you can be? It’s not like making a choice to buy a Mercedes or a Buick, $40,000 decision. It’s a couple bucks across the bag to enjoy the game more. Get fitted and start getting better.’”

Everyone at Club Champion is driven by the single goal to help every single golfer have the right club in their hand for every shot.

These two Club Champion fittings were the most important improvements I have made to my golf game in years. It will help your game too.
