Last month I had an opportunity to visit Carl’s Golfland in suburban Detroit. Carl’s Golfland is a leader in professional club fitting, offering a fully stocked retail store, plus a driving range, with covered hitting bays for year-round golf in Michigan. They became the first to install the Trackman Driving Range APP and it takes the game of golf to a whole new level, for the average golfer.

He told us how the Trackman concept was started to help driving range owners in Europe attract more golfers to their ranges and has expanded to provide the most accurate statistical data for professionals and amateur golfers alike. The technology is the same used to track missiles and is accurate to within one foot at 100 yards.

The technology used by tour professionals is now available to every golfer, who steps onto the Carl’s Golfland Range.
Five Trackman units strategically placed around the driving range can record every shot hit from every bay on the range. Once a golfer purchases a bucket of balls, he downloads the FREE Trackman Driving Range APP onto his phone.
The number of the hitting bay is then logged into the APP and Trackman does the rest. Every shot provides an accurate read out of length, spin rate, ball speed and launch angle. Average golfers can learn to maximize their spin rate and launch angles to improve their iron play, increase distance and lower handicaps.
