Ohio State’s Max Moldovan Sets NEW Scoring Record in Southern Amateur

Two-time OHSAA State Champion and now a sophomore at Ohio State, Max Moldovan shattered a 28-year-old scoring record held by Justin Leonard to win the Southern Amateur at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi.  Moldovan fired rounds of 64-68-65-67 and didn’t make a bogey in the final 36 holes. His 20-under par performance bested the previous scoring record by six shots.
