The Memorial, the Marathon Classic and the Bridgestone Senior PLAYERS Championship have been rescheduled, plus the Korn Ferry Tour’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship is diligently working to keep its date.

The PGA TOUR announced its latest rescheduling and plan to restart in June with the Charles Schwab Challenge June 8-14. That will be followed by the RGC Heritage on Hilton Head, The Travelers in New Jersey and the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit. All without fans.

The Memorial Tournament, normally held at the beginning of June, has been moved to July 13-19, the slot vacated by the cancellation of The OPEN Championship. It is slated to be the first tournament to allow fans to roam the grounds. RFID’s will be added to the badges to alert tournament organizers if too many people are congregating around the course.

The LPGA Tour announced their latest schedule changes April 29. The ladies are shooting to resume the 2020 schedule in Toledo for the Marathon Classic, which was moved from its original July 9-12 date to July 23-26. In an interview with Back 9 Report, Tournament Director Judd Silverman said thermal imaging would be used to identify attendees with a fever and they would not be allowed inside the gates.  You can hear the full interview at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsHqtL6xYvQ&t=1s.

The PGA TOUR Champions also has moved the Bridgestone Senior PLAYERS Championship to August 12-16 and will still be played at Firestone Country Club in Akron.

The Korn Ferry Tour’s Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship is scheduled for August 27-30 in Columbus and no decision has been made as of yet.

All four tournaments are working together to inform the Governor and the various Boards of Health about their plans to keep Fans, Players and Volunteers safe during their events.

The Symetra Tour’s Prasco Charity Championship to be held July 8-10 at TPC River’s Bend in Cincinnati has been cancelled.
