We are winding down our third year of NWO Golf Links, but beginning this month our journey as Ohio Golf Journal is just beginning.
Ohio Golf Journal will continue to bring our readers a diverse offering of golf information, opinion, travel, reviews and news. We are hoping to reach out to a larger audience and will feature more news from around the Great Golf State of Ohio.
We are also unveiling our new website: http://ohiogolfjournal.com/. It is designed to be more user friendly and provide an easier format for our readers.
Where has the summer gone?
Just yesterday we were watching the Masters with the hope of a new golf season and lower handicaps before us. Now the FedEx Cup is in progress and the Presidents Cup is next up, which will signal an end to the 2017 PGA Tour season.
Sergio Garcia, Brooks Koepka, Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas won the major championships, while Dustin Johnson, Jason Day and Rory McIlroy suffered through the year with injuries.
Oh well, Fall is one of my favorite times to play golf. Cooler weather, crisp mornings watching the fog lift from fairways covered with a blanket of dew and brightly colored tree-lined fairways always make me smile.
Speaking of Fall Golf, we feature the Gaylord Golf Mecca on the September Cover. Eight resorts with 14 golf courses make golf in Northern Michigan, the PERFECT Fall Golf Option.
Ed Travis normally provides us with outstanding equipment reviews, but this month he gives our readers his opinion on the longer golf ball debate and why he thinks nothing should be done to change the ball.
Hickory Golfers held an event at Ottawa Park earlier this summer, plus local golfers picked up some very nice awards.
We hope you enjoy the NEW Ohio Golf Journal. We welcome any comments you may have. Simply send them to me at: Fred@Back9MediaGroup.com
Until the snow flies in Northwest Ohio, I hope I see you on the Back 9.
