The Northern Ohio PGA section held the Junior League Section Championship at Eagle Creek Golf Course in August.
Team Mallard Creek and Team Cleveland SE 2 won their respective semi-final matches in commanding fashion earning spots in the final match of the inaugural PGA Junior League Section Championship.
In their semi-final match, Cleveland Southeast 2 defeated Cleveland West 1, 7.5 to 4.5 to earn the right to meet, Mallard Creek, who had defeated Toledo 2, by a convincing score of 9-3. 
Mallard Creek then prevailed in the finals besting Cleveland Southeast 2, 9.5-2.5 to earn the right to advance to the Regional Competition September 15 and 16 at Valley Brook Country Club in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
