Gianna Clemente of Warren and Joshua Qian of Westerville both won their divisions in the Coca Cola Junior Championship at Boyne Highlands.
To win the Girls Division, Gianna fired a tournament total of 4-under-par 212 on the Moor Course at Boyne Highlands, making a total of 10 birdies.
At just 12 years, 3 months and 9 days of age, she becomes the fifth youngest to become a Girls Division Champion in AJGA history.
Gianna is a three-time U.S. Kids World Champion and is the third youngest to qualify for the U.S. Women’s Amateur in 2019.
Joshua won the Boys Division in a one-hole playoff, when he also finished at 4-under-par 212.
During the event he carded three eagles and nine birdies.
A member of Westerville Central’s Boys Golf Team, Joshua finished in 8th place at 2019 OHSAA Division 1 State Golf Tournament.
