One of only four golf course architects enshrined in the World Golf Hall of Fame, Pete Dye is struggling with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Dye brought significant change to golf course design and is responsible for The Golf Club, Harbour Town, railroad ties, Whistling Straits, The Ocean Course at Kiawah, the island green, TPC Sawgrass and a scores of other memorable golf courses.
Born and raised in Ohio, Pete Dye is 92 and still plays golf most days. He has trouble remembering long-time friends, but walking a golf course brings him back.
