As we turn the page on January and enter the month of February, we are one month closer to the return of daily golf in the state of Indiana – from the Zollner Golf Course in Angola down to the Thunderbolt Pass Golf Course in Evansville.

For those of you who are fortunate enough to escape Indiana’s winter chill for warmer temperatures in Florida, this issue has a couple of great golf possibilities. There are roughly 20 golf courses in the greater Daytona Beach area that provide variety. If you going farther south, the Ocean Course at the Breakers in Palm Beach is a true gem.

We were in Orlando for the PGA Merchandise Show last month. It is the golf industry’s annual trade show, filled with exciting new products and was attended by a global audience.  Based on the number of creative new products on display, golf is strong and getting stronger.

In our March issue, we’ll include a pictorial spread from the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando.  If you follow me on Twitter — @MikeMay_Golf – you will see some of my video posts from Orlando.

Many thanks to Mitch Moon, Indiana Golf, and Franciscan Health for their editorial input for this issue. I think that you will enjoy those stories.

I also think you will enjoy reading about the career of longtime LPGA player Debbie Austin, who played on tour from 1968 to 1987.  With two wins in the Hoosier state, Debbie has fond memories of playing and winning golf tournaments in Indiana.

Finally, as we move through the year, if you are aware of any newsworthy and noteworthy developments in golf in Indiana that deserve to be reported in this publication, please send me the specifics via email:  mmaymarketing@gmail.com.
