The Legacy Golf Club by Arthur Hills opened for play in 1997. Golf Digest rated it a 4 ½ stars and listed it as one of the Top 200 courses to play in the country. It is still one of the very best around.

Local golf course architect, Arthur Hills is renowned world-wide for his imaginative designs and playability. A total of five lakes were incorporated into the design of The Legacy and it boasts the only par-3 island green in the greater-Toledo area.

The Legacy takes great pride in the condition of the course and the fairways and greens are always tournament ready. You will not find a better maintained or manicured golf course in the area.

Additions and renovations to the course have included raising the green at No. 8 and upgrading the practice area. Separate putting and chipping areas make this the best practice area in Toledo.

The Legacy is not just a golf club, however. It makes the perfect location for weddings, banquets, or other large events. The Legacy staff is experienced in assisting every bride-to-be with their plans to make their special day memorable, or organize your event.

An outside wedding chapel overlooks the pond surrounding the 18th green and makes the perfect setting for every bride’s dream scenario. Seating can accommodate the most intimate or grandiose ceremonies.

The clubhouse can seat up to 200 guests in the main room.  Floor-to-ceiling bay windows overlook the golf course and add to the overall ascetic of any event.

The Chef will tailor a menu to fit any request and can cater any reception, company event or holiday party.

First and foremost, The Legacy is a golf facility. It can handle any group large or small and routinely handles corporate and charity outings, as well as, family reunions or a buddy’s getaway.

Five sets of tees on every hole make The Legacy enjoyable for every member of your family and every level of golf ability. The par-72 course can stretch to 6,828 yards from the back tees, but can also accommodate juniors and women at 4,898 yards from the forward tees.

If you are looking for a stern test of your golfing ability, the course has a 128 slope rating from the tips that will provide a sufficient challenge for the low handicapper. At the same time high-handicap golfers can play from the Green Tees at a slope of 114, or from the Ladies Tees at a 106 rating.

The team at the Legacy offers country club value, but at an affordable cost.  They understand the needs of the public golfer and provide an upscale experience to every player.
